Child and Teenage concerns
“Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression” – Haim Ginott
Children and adolescent boys and girls go through a wide range of physical, emotional and mental changes as they grow. During this phase, they are vulnerable to different external influences and if not guided well, it may lead to mental health problems like mood disorders, depression, anxiety, lack of self confidence and esteem, temper tantrums, feelings of inferiority, addictions etc.. which may eventually result in a difficult adulthood.
Phare Counseling offers support and guidance to school-going children and adolescents where they can express their problems in turn helping them resolve their issues.
Couples Counseling
“Two heads are better than one, not because either is infallible, but because they are unlikely to go wrong in the same direction.”- C.S. Lewis
It is normal for couples to have disagreements and conflicts. In situations, where they are stuck and cannot move further, Phare counseling helps to identify the underlying problem and helps resolve issues.
Relationship Issues
“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves” -Carl Jung
Relationships – whether family, friends, or partners usually have a marked influence on our sense of self and how we relate to others. These relationships offer security, affection, support and hope. Sometimes our most meaningful relations break down, leave us feeling lonely, disappointed and unsure of ourselves. The goal of counseling is to analyse what the problems are and then focus on solutions, rather than probing into the origins of the problems.
Phare Counseling can help individuals through self-reflection to increase self-awareness thereby building stronger relationships.
Parenting Issues
““Don’t worry that children never listen to you; worry that they are always watching you.” – Robert Fulghum
Parenting issues like decisions about childcare, schooling, discipline, household chores, work-life balance etc. has become more challenging in the present times and counseling aims to provide the necessary knowledge, tools, guidance, and support to parents without bias or judgment. Connect with our experienced Counselor when you feel overwhelmed or ‘stuck, and are not sure of the best steps to take for yourselves and your children.
